BRITT'S STORY
In 2021, the Metro-Atlanta baseball community suffered a profound loss with the untimely passing of a remarkable individual, Britt Kearce. Britt was a guiding light, a mentor, and a friend. His passion for baseball and his unwavering commitment to pouring into the youth within our community left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Driven by a deep sense of gratitude and admiration for Britt, his family and friends embarked on a journey to honor his memory and continue his legacy of service to others.
Thus, the Britt Kearce Memorial Scholarship was born. Our goal is to commemorate Britt's extraordinary life and transform tragedy into triumph by empowering the next generation.

REMEMBERING COACH KEARCE
Go Beyond the Game: See how Coach Kearce touched the lives of others.
Britt Kearce started coaching my son at the age of 8, and continued to coach Sam until he was 14. Sam was given the opportunity a couple of times during those years to play on other teams, and each time, he chose to stay with his coaches and his team. Over the last 4 years, we’ve had coaches and other baseball parents comment on Sam’s baseball IQ – he learned all of it from Britt. Sam’s natural position is outfield and pitcher, but he has played every single other position during his time playing ball at Saint Francis High School. Because of the foundation that Britt laid for Sam, he has been able to help his team each time he takes the field.
In addition to being an incredible coach, Britt was also an incredible friend to my husband and I, and even had a big impact on our daughter, Grace. Our family routinely quotes Britt or says, “What would Coach Britt think about this situation?”. As impactful as he was on the community through baseball, Britt was 10X more impactful for our family in our daily lives. He is missed in 100 ways every single day, and we are so, so grateful to have had him in our lives for as long as we did.
